Tank Сontainers
The carriage of goods by sea transport is performed according to certain rules. Thus for the carriage of flammable liquids, liquefied gases, bulk cargo and goods on hand by ships the Tank Container is used. Sespel offers a self-produced sea container for oil products. The products quality is confirmed by hundreds of positive feedbacks from customers and the highest specialists’ evaluations.
Tank Container features:
Tank container is a sea container of special type; in fact, it is a fuel tank. The peculiarity of this type of tanks is determined by a specific way of transportation. There are established rules for cargo transportation on board the ship. Thus, the fuel tank must have standard ISO dimensions:
- length - 20 feet;
- width - 8 feet;
- height - 8 feet 6 inches.
The distinctions in Tank container design are allowed, but not the violations of the established dimensions. A fuel sea tank represents a tank set within the frame.
What can be transported?
Tank containers are used to transport:
- food products (milk, oil, alcohol-containing liquids, mineral water, juice, etc.);
- crude oil and refined products (gasoline, greases, lubricants, etc.);
- industrial substances (paints, loose and granulated goods, fatty acids);
- liquefied gases.
For each group of loads special types of sea containers are provided. Usually they are equipped with pressure relief devices and other additional equipment. The Tank containers design features made them especially convenient for multimodal transportations, i.e. for transportation by different types of transport. The sea tank can be loaded on a railcar, a truck or on board the ship.
